Day 11: Hippolyte du Fort to Pézenas

92km, avg 15.2km/hr, max 51.7km/hr

Overall not so many hills and a good finish: flat with great tarmac, on which I could do 27-29km/hr with no trouble.

Sun's coming up

5.46am I'd had an early start as you can see. The sun's just coming up over the hills. As ever the early start was necessary because of the heat but also because it meant I had at least a couple of hours in crisp, cool, silence.
