A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.
I went for a wander around Les Vans, firstly to take all of my clothes to the launderette. Although I wash what I'm wearing every day I thought it'd be good to wash with powder in a machine rather than with my travel soap and by hand. I also tried to buy another small notebook, I'd actually bought the one that I currently have, almost full now, the last time I was here, two years ago. Unfortunately they didn't have one in the size I wanted.
Les Vans is quite a nice town, a bit touristy but nice for all that. This square had stalls of various sorts out later in the evening and this group of musicians where still playing.
Wed, 20th July. Les Vans to Hippolyte du Fort. 100km, avg 16.7km/hr, max 55km/hr 9hours with 6.20 riding
I couldn't leave too early since the hotel didn't open their reception until 8.00 which I couldn't have the breakfast included in the price nor retrieve my bike which they'd put in their garage. So this photo is timed at 8.54 and is about 15 minutes up the steepish climb out of town.
