A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.
Soon the odd cow turned out to have a few friends, 249 friends to be exact. They were moving from the high pasture to something a bit lower down the valley and getting past them turned into something of an adventure. They were somewhat boisterous, there was the occasional bull, and not all the cows were in a good mood.
In the end, apart from once when we had to jump on a wall to avoid getting crushed, we got a technique that worked reasonably well. Walk and wait a few feet behind but without making the cow nervous, the cow would suddenly realise you were there and would move over allowing you to pass to the next cow where you'd start the cycle again.
We eventually, cows finally permitting, arrived at Benasque where we checked into a camp site. Unfortunately Juanjo's credit card had lost its magnetic charge and he had to stay an extra day to sort it out at the bank. So the following day I was to move on, as I had originally planned, and walk alone.
The first part of the walk was up forest track to the refugio de Corones, up the Vall de Vallibierna (winter valley in Aragones).
