The first coll of the day

I meet a guy from Mallorca who's doing the GR11 at the top of the pass, we've coincided several times over the last couple of hours, and he takes this photo. It's the first of two colls I'll have to cross today but it's definitely the sweetest.

The descent is equally as treacherous as the ascent, indeed the Mallorcan guy slips on the way down and cuts his shin quite badly - going too quickly I thought, though he still moves off more quickly than I and I don't see him again.

Ibon del Cap de Llauset

After the descent there's another ascent to this ibon and then from there a further ascent up to the Collet del Estanyets though only about 100m of ascent in all, followed by 300m of scree descent down to where I'm going to pass the night.
