We started the day with a walk. The beetle in the main photo has, like Pippa who took the photo, an acute sense of colour, matching and contrasting.
Today was the day I'd been so looking forward to for a week at least: we were going to have a seafood lunch at Toc Al Mar the shed type building we could see at Aigua Blava beach from our hotel in an adjacent cove.

Sam say's his goodbyes, to an insect it appears. We're leaving Ses Vinyes and we're heading south, to the sun and to Denia, where we've visited before but not stayed. We wanted to be alone and selfish and so, as I've said before, we didn't visit friends.
We went to Denia and stayed in Hotel Les Rotes, just on the outskirts of Denia itself.
