A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.

I'd found this hotel from England after a lot of searching. It was meant to be the place where we'd spend Pippa's birthday but, for various reasons, we didn't leave England early enough to get here in time.
We'd originally been booked into a top floor room in a separate building at the top of the car park, with nice views, but the room smelled slightly to Pippa's acute olfactory apparatus and so we asked to change. They offered us two rooms, another room in the same building and a junior suite in the main building, we liked the one in the same building but, just for completeness sake, and curiousity we thought we should look at the junior suite. That was our downfall.
The junior suite had a rainfall shower, but not any rainfall it felt like Indian monsoon rainfall, or Amazon forest rainfall. It also had a bath, but a bath suitable for a football team. But mainly, it had a huge private terrace with loungers.
It was a wonderful room, but mainly it was just a wonderful hotel, the staff were great, the food marvellous and varied, such that we never wanted to leave. We'd booked for three nights, which we extended to eight, and then extended again to twelve, and we would have stayed longer but they were fully booked.
That's how good it was.

The first morning at Hotel Aigua Blava meant a swim before breakfast in the heated swimming pool, followed by healthy food galore at the breakfast buffet. Over the following days we'd slowly get into a pattern of breakfast. My favourite being fresh orange juice (3 glasses), Pan con Tomate with a fried egg (& some bacon, ham and sausage for Sam), followed by Greek yoghurt with fresh fruit, then coffee or sometimes proper thick Spanish hot chocolate.
I don't think we really left the hotel complex, though "hotel complex" conjures up the wrong image. It was an old, very small hotel, built in the 30s which, little by little was enlarged and neighbouring houses were bought and incorporated into it. There were three beaches within 20 metres, a lovely terrace as well as our own private terrace. So, today, other than a trip to the Supermarket, we stayed put.
