When I first saw this vehicle, I thought hiring it was a great opportunity to enjoy exploring Denia, whilst leaving our large car, which was difficult to park, somewhere in the shade at the hotel. But unfortunately, when Pippa saw it, she was appalled by the rust, which she thought she was going to get it on her beautiful and nicely coloured clothes. Not only that but how was she going to get in the back with Sam.
In the end she did manage to get in but complained most of the way into Denia, at every dip and bump in the road she'd cry out and I was forbidden to go over 18 km/h.
By the time I got into Denia I was beginning to regret my decision. But decided that Pippa was going to have to drive it back. Impossible she said, she'd never driven an automatic, nor anything so exposed, nor on the right hand side of the road. But in the end she relented.
That was it, she had such fun I had to hire the next day too. I clocked her doing 48 km/h in what I'm sure was a 40 limit.

It was our second day with the Batmobile, that I call it that amuses the hotel deskstaff enormously; though in Spanish it become BatiMóbile.
We started by exploring the garden of the hotel more thoroughly and chatting to the gardeners. Then we went into Dénia for no good reason but found one buying another two pairs of sunglasses, one each. Finally, we went to dinner at El Marino, the place we'd set out to go to yesterday before we were side-tracked by El Wey, the Mexican place.
