Our drive took us through Paris and on to the Loire, we stayed at another really nice place, Hôtel la Tonnellerie at Tavers, just outside Beaugency which is on the Loire between Orléans and Blois.
We arrived early so we had lunch at Beaugency and explored the town. Lunch was very good and it was quite warm eating on the terrace. We did a bit of shopping - that is to say I had to buy some swimming trunks because I'd forgotten mine and our hotel had an outdoor pool.
