Even on an overcast morning it's still a beautiful sight to wake up on the Costa Brava. In fact it's thought that the original owner of this hotel coined the term 'Costa Brava'.
Anyway, we wanted an excuse to visit Girona and a slightly cloudy day was the perfect excuse. In actual fact, choosing today was both good and bad for the same reason. Good because it was the Flower Festival, Temps de Flors, and there were lots of things to see, bad because it was the flower festival and some streets were one way only and there were lots of people. The slight sense of claustrophobia that Pips suffers from wasn't helped by sudden torrential rain.

No, that wasn't actually the plan, the plan was to wonder along the coast a little to walk Sam, after a swim and breakfast of course, and then, as it turned a little more cloudy, to go into Begur to mosey around. The sunglasses came when were almost scot-free, on the way back to the car.
