A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.
First thing in the morning I'd usually walk Sam up to a little pasture in a small olive grove just up from Casa Gallinera. From there you could see across the valley and along its length. Complete silence except for birdsong and the buzzing of bees.
Vall Gallinera is a special little valley, there are eight villages along its length: Benirrama, Benialí, Benissivà, Benitaia, La Carroja, Alpatró, Llombai, and Benissili with footpaths in the hills and along the valley. There are caves, prehistoric cliff paintings, charming little villages; we loved it.
There were so many places to sit and laze and most of the time, because it was early in the year I guess, we had the terrace to ourselves, you can perhaps see why we spent nine days here.
