Pippa had been taking photos of snowy mountains seen from a great distance ever since we crossed the Pyrenees and finally we find ourselves in Asturias and we're staying in a hotel on the side of a valley and on the other side of the valley, within touching distance it seems in real life, are snowy mountains.
Our trip today started in vast plains of Castilla y León and finished in the Picos de Europa. If you click on this photo you'll see the slides which tell of our journey.

After a hearty breakfast of fruit and yoghurt with honey and lots of extras we set off to explore our nearest large town, Cangas de Onis.
It was fairly large in fact, though we could not find a launderette where we could use our own washing liquid or change the temperature of the wash, which was one of the reasons we went.
Beautiful buildings and the bridge you see in the photo is la Puente Romano though it was built in the 13th Century and isn't Roman.
The two dots you see peeking over at the apex are Pippa and Sam.
