l'île de Ré

On the way north we stopped of for lunch at l'île de Ré, crossing the huge graceful bridge to get there.  The air was clean and luminous and the lunch very good, oysters and moules frites with a white wine.  Unfortunately Pippa was very ill as a result, presumably because of a bad oyster or mussel; I escaped scot free.

Manoir des Indes, Quimper

We arrived relatively late in the day so took no photos.  Pippa spent the night being quite unwell after an encounter with either a bad oyster or mussel the day before.  It was doubly unfortunate because the hotel, whilst very good looking, had little help or time for us because they were busy preparing for a wedding the following day.

Manoir des Indes is just to the west of Quimper and we moved to hotel in the centre via a trip to Bénodet, which you'll see in the slides.
