Polignac, a stop for lunch

I say it's a stop for lunch, which it was, though we were also looking for somewhere to stay.  Unfortunately the nice place we had lunch, which also had a sign for a Hotel, said the sign was out of date.  The food was lovely though, although it must be the first place we've eaten where we took no photos.  Too hungry.

Hôtel Mas de l`Espaïre

We'd arrived at Les Vans and decided to stay just out of town.  We found this lovely little place on the edge of a protected area.  It was an old Masía, Mas in French - a large stonebuilt tranditional farmstead, usually with narrow windows to conserve heat in winter and protect from heat in the summer.
